Movie Night

The night before Brian and I left to go to Dale Hollow for an adult get away, we decided since we never get to go see a movie, we went to the late night showing of Superbad. I am not a very good critic b/c of my statement above, but for the most part, this movie is funny. If you just want to watch something mindless, however at times I was just hoping they could get to the end b/c when the movie went into more of a serious plot for the story, I just wanted it to be over.

On our houseboat trip, I did rewatch some good classics, like the Wedding Singer (I love that movie), Friday (hilarious), I love the part where the dad walks out of the bathroom and says "Don't go in there for about 35-45 minutes." But then at night we watched Messengers and The Shining, on those two nights I went to bed early b/c I dislike scary movies. It was nice to sit and watch a movie with friends around laughing and jumping at the scary parts.

Den Makeover

Here is the room that was always used as a catch all. If it could not go into the basement then it went into this room. Two people coming together with all of thier stuff makes a total disaster area. Went thru and donated things we didn't want or need, got all of the paper work put away and gutted this room out, so we could make it the room we have been imagining it.

Here is my beautiful new room, it has a shelf all the way around at eye level. The color above is a dark brown with cream ceiling. We call it the horse room because I had all of this decor that I have never used in horses and this is the perfect room for it. I love the way it turned out. I had a different image for the curtains and then I found the ones hanging, brought them home to see and they match the wall color perfectly, and so I am keeping them. The picture sitting on the shelf I found at Wal-mart for $5, so had to buy it. This room will eventually be an office again without all of the clutter but first it will become our bedroom while we makeover the room beside it, that is currently our bedroom because our original bedroom is the playroom. Confused yet. One room at a time I keep telling myself. This new room got all new trim around the doors, windows and floor. Thumbs up for Brian doing a great job!

Terry Family Outing

The Terry family went out to eat for Brian's sister's birthday on August 3rd.
This is Sean inside this pepper that was at the restaurant. It was hilarious,
because his little arms and legs barely stuck out and the waiter had him
deliver the tab to a table and the guy wasn't quit sure to take it or not.

Lane becoming a master at bowling.

Brian taking a goofy picture.

Brian's brother, Mike, with Sean waiting for the bowling ball.

After having dinner, we all went bowling. Here is the first Terry family picture ever taken of the whole family. We had a great time bowling, it is a great activity for the whole family to do together and you don't have to be any good at it. The bumpers were up for kids and adults so we always scored some points.

All Boy!!

Brian took the boys to a reptile show at the Indiana State
Museum one Saturday. Sean is so fearless when it comes
to any kind of reptile. He loves to hold them and catch them
if he can. Lane might be a little more scared to hold, but he
doesn't mind to get upclose and look. Sean and Lane have been
catching frogs all summer in the backyard or pool area. The
frogs live in a big bucket for a few days usually, some escape
and some don't. I have to help at times catch a frog or two,
but you will not catch this mom holding a snake.
