Happy 4th Anniersary!!

Brian and I had a great night out on our anniversary on July 19th. We first went for our annual couples massage (you are just in the same room) this is our third year going to treat ourselves. Then Downtown Indy got a new restarant, Weber Grill. Brian is a weber grill freak. He will not buy a gas grill b/c he only likes his hamburgers grilled on a weber. I don't notice much of a difference, as long as he cooks them I don't care. But unfortunately being a new restaruant, we didn't get a waitress for the first 15-20 minutes we were there. The seared Tuna appetizer was awful, so it went back with the return of spinach-artichock dip to be brought after we had ate half of our meal. The meal itself was very good and the dip, I would recommend going and don't leave without dessert, the summer berry cobbler was excellent. However it turned out to be a inexpensive dinner b/c we was free due to all of the bad service. Then we ended the night with a movie, License to Wed, where Robin Williams plays a priest. I could have waited for it to come to HBO and watched it for free at home on my couch, but hey a night out and to watch a new movie in the theater, I couldn't ask for much more. (If I was going to pick a movie to see again, it would definitely be Knocked Up. That movie is hillarious. I wish we would have watched that again for $9)

Dinner at the Dave and Penny's

Rod and his family are in town this week. We had a great
dinner at Dave and Penny's. Penny is a great host and had
some incredible brownies that were gone in no time and
everyone came back wanting seconds. We also had hamburgers
from Mom and Mike's cows, strawberries, watermelon,
not a cookout without Grandma Jean's potato salad, and lots
more. I was so stuffed by the end of the night.

We went to the zoo yesterday afternoon for alittle while to

let Brian study. Sean loves to get his face painted, I believe

someday he will be on a stage, like for a high school play. Can you

believe he turns 5 this year. He already knows what he wants, a real

4 wheeler, so if anyone wants to donate to this fund, we are collecting.

Fishing on the 4th!

We went fishing on the 4th of July at a pond in Trafalgar.
Our whole family went including our dog, Indy. Indy had
great time, he would watch patiently for someone to reel in
a fish and then sniff at it. We finally gave him a fish to see
what he would do with it. Indy carried the fish around for
about 15 minutes pacing up and down the walk way by the
pond. And then he started eating it, he had some bad breath
for a few days. Crazy dog. That was the only fish that got
eaten that day, all the fish Sean, Lane and Brian caught went
back into the pond, so we can them again another day.

Brown County

My mom and I had a whole Saturday to ourselves. We got to talk
without interruptions and browsed Brown County shops leisurely.
We started out at her house helping Mike do a couple of projects
he needed an extra hand and then took the Miada with the top
down to BC. We had a good lunch at the Sandwich Shop decorated
all about IU and Bobby Knight memorabilia. We bought a few
things, but the thing I really want the most is this rocking chair
pictured below. What a fun chair and comfortable to sit in, one
day it will be in my house, hopefully when my basement gets done.
I spent the night with them on Saturday and left early Sunday
morning to have the house all to myself. It's weird to have a empty
house that is normally loud with sounds of children talking, cartoons
on tv, and some other banging going on, at times I didn't know what
to do because I wasn't taking care of someone else. I only had myself
and I frequently thought I was single once and could keep myself
occupied why can't I now, which might seem silly, I felt like something
was missing. I could go around and pick up with out any distractions,
but now my mind is so use to the distractions of getting pulled to
get a drink, or to watch a child do some stunt in his room, get a snack
turn the computer on, part of me actually missed the distractions
even though most of the time I think to myself if I could just have 5
minutes to do this I would feel like I accomplished a task for the day
and here I am a day to myself knowing I can do anything without the
distractions I don't know what to do with myself. I found it very
ironic.

My rocking chair.

Campfire at our House

Brian finally got the fire going after
many attempts. If a blow torch can't
nothing can.

Neighbor boys- Bret and Colin

Sean and Lane love roasting marshmellows. They tend to
roast more than they eat. They also like to see the marsh-
mellows on fire and scream about it and then try and blow
the fire out.
